hey, I'm aj

Like you, I am on a journey toward holistic health and wellness. I've worked as a pastor in the local church, adjunct professor and higher education professional, and as a consultant. These experiences helped me discover my passion for partnering with people who are pursuing clarity in their walk with God, discerning their call, and achieving their vocational goals.

I am husband to the most incredible woman in the cosmos. She teaches me about kindness and integrity and is so full of love and life and compassion. She's in the process of becoming a licensed counselor and you'll get to hear from her on the blog.

We are both ordained pastors and I'm an endorsed chaplain with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. I've earned a few letters after my name from Azusa Pacific University and am currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. I've tailored my degrees to focus on answering the questions of sustainable growth, personal wellness, spiritual disciplines, and vocational clarity.

I don't think she'd let me get away without an honorable mention (at least not without stealing my socks) so to our sweetest dog, Lily, "Want to go for a walk?!"

When I'm not at work you can find me with a cup of coffee and a good book, or on the Metro Gold Line with a good book, or somewhere outside with a good book, or at home (with all our good books). I'll keep you updated on my latest read and give you a resource library so you can see some of the books and organizations I recommend.

Would you like to connect to talk about a book? Have questions about your vocational journey? Need help with a resume? Or are you looking for a mentor and guide in this season of life? If so, let's have a cup of coffee, the first one is on me.

Shalom.
